Job Type: Full-time, fully remote, flexible hours
Base Compensation: $24/hr, fully paid healthcare benefits.
The ideal candidate would support Dual Wield Studio, LLC by interacting with targeted virtual communities and network users to promote our company. We are looking for someone who can create consistent, meaningful content on all social media platforms as well as act quickly and gracefully to address concerns that may arise via social media. This candidate will also assist with the overall marketing efforts of the company by creating and executing an approved marketing plan which factors in product launches and product lifeline support.
In more less business terms:
We could be doing more with social media and marketing and we know it! We’re looking to tap the expertise of someone within fandom to assist with creating marketing initiatives based on the work we do, as well as give you a chance to bring your unique voice to Dual Wield Studio. This job would be a mix of producing content on our social media channels (shouting out artists we work with! creating ads to promote cool projects we’ve worked on!) as well as developing and sustaining a social media presence long-term. This would also mean working within email marketing, assessing sales and backend information provided by Google Analytics, Shopify, and more.
We want someone as excited about what fandom creates as we are, and we want you to help us shout about how cool it is to other people.
You will do well in this job if promoting small creators, gassing up your friends, and supporting the products our artists create is something that excites you, but also if you are data and results driven.
Previously, this position was listed as a part time position. We are revising this at full time with benefits.

Marketing and Social Media Coordinator Primary Job Functions:
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research to find answers about customer requirements, habits and trends as well as competitor’s trends
- Develop communication strategies across all utilized social media (Twitter, Facebook) and design and develop communication lines across unused platforms (Reddit, Instagram, TikTok, etc.).
- Assist with brainstorming and developing ideas for creative marketing campaigns.
- Create, monitor and track social campaigns, providing reporting and in-depth analysis to assess efficacy.
- Assist in outbound or inbound marketing activities to create engaging promotional assets to be utilized across all platforms.
- Liaise with external vendors to execute promotional events and campaigns as assigned.
- Manage all email marketing from concept to final reporting.
- Assist in collaborating with the web-store and photography professionals to coordinate brand awareness and marketing efforts.
- Assist with the planning and executing initiatives to reach the target audience through multiple social media platforms
- Write, develop, and strategize online marketing collateral.
- Assist with crisis management, bad reviews, and negative news communications.
- Create and maintain Dual Wield Studio, LLC social media pages and profiles.
- Moderate user-generated content and messages appropriately, based on Dual Wield Studio, LLC and community policies.
- Creation of blog posts or other tie-in forms of media
- Create and implement a social media marketing plan and editorial calendar.
- Collaborate with other departments to manage Dual Wield Studio, LLC reputation, coordinate promotions and increase reach.
- An ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Creative and innovative skills with attention to detail
Requirements:
- Equivalent experience OR Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in marketing, communication, event planning or related field.
- 3+ years in marketing and communications.
- Experience with paid social media advertisements.
- Experience with TikTok, Instagram, and other under utilized systems
Nice To Have:
- Multilingual: if you speak another language in addition to English, this would be helpful.
- West coast time zone, for ease of coordination.
- Ability to travel, when it is safe to do so. (Conventions, trade shows, in-person marketing events.)
- Experience in licensing as a whole
- Experience as an Artist, Graphic Designer, Marketing Manager or similar role
- Experience running your own social media, especially if for your own online store, Kickstarter, fanzines, Big Bangs, fandom collaborative events, etc.
- Portfolio of completed graphic designs and creative projects
- Hands-on experience with graphic design software and image editing tools (e.g. Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator)
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times, but not often.
- Travel may be requested but Dual Wield Studio does not have any plans to do in-person events (or have an in-person office) while the pandemic is in effect.
