Are you an independent artist, game developer, or both? We'd like to invite you to work with us at two upcoming events taking place in August and September!
As part of our on-going goal to promote people within our community, we've obtained two months of display space at Cupcake Royale, a local coffee/cupcake shop. On a monthly basis, independent artists display their work for sale for visitors to the shop and we'd like to invite you to be a part of it!
If you're a freelance ARTIST, we'd like to invite you to apply for space in August, where we will feature a piece of your work for sale to customers along with a link to your website or portfolio. See details below:
- LOCATION: Cupcake Royale - West Seattle (4556 California Ave SW)
- SUBMISSION DEADLINE: Submissions must be received by July 18th via this form. Upon acceptance, artists have until July 28th to deliver their artwork. Physical items received after the deadline may not be included.
- WHAT CAN I SUBMIT?: Anything that you sell online or at conventions, so long as it is your work! These will be hanging from mounting brackets in a coffee shop, so just keep that in mind. Prints, photography, pins, etc. are preferable. We were told to suggest "easy to show off, hard to steal." We are open to working with you on finding a solution if you have ideas.
- WHAT CAN'T I SUBMIT?:
- NO UNLICENSED FANART. Please submit original works only.
- No larger than 12 x 18 inches in size.
- No NSFW content.
- Must be over $20 USD in value for an individual item, or multiple items for a minimum of $35 USD.
- HOW DO I SUBMIT?: Please fill out this form with an example(s) of what you would like to display, along with the price(s) you would sell your work for. If approved, you will need to send the physical goods you are submitting to a provided address, along with a short blurb about yourself.
- CAN YOU PRINT MY WORK FOR ME?: Unfortunately, we are unable to do so at this time.
Items will be displayed alongside a website link, where people can purchase the product. These items will be sold on a consignment basis, with Dual Wield Studio retaining 40% of the sale (unless the item is above $50, then we'll scale appropriately in your favor!) and the remaining 60% going to the artist. Each week, we will collect orders and mail them out to the customers, and at the end of the month, you'll receive your payment!

If you're a GAME DEVELOPER (especially if you will be at PAX West), we'd like to invite you to the next pop-up taking place during the month of September! We'd love to promote a piece of art, a product, or something else relevant to your game that your fans would love! If you would like to include a game code with these products, we're happy to facilitate that, just let us know.
- LOCATION: Cupcake Royale - West Seattle (4556 California Ave SW)
- SUBMISSION DEADLINE: Submissions must be received by August 12th via this form. Upon acceptance, you have until August 28th to deliver the item to our address.
- WHAT CAN I SUBMIT?: A printed piece of art from your game (asset art, character designs, sketches, etc.) printed on high-quality paper no larger than 12 x 18 inches. If you already have existing merchandise for your game, feel free to submit that; this is what's intended. Ideally you won't have to create any new assets/items. Prints, photography, pins, etc. are preferable. We were told to suggest "easy to show off, hard to steal." If you are able to generate codes for your game to sell in conjunction with this, we'd love to bundle them! We can provide these codes to the customer upon purchase (and include it in the purchase price.) We are open to working with you on finding a solution if you have ideas outside what we have suggested.
- WHAT CAN'T I SUBMIT?:
- NO UNCREDITED WORK. Please submit original works only by internal artists, or work which you have the rights to sell.
- No larger than 12 x 18 inches in size.
- No NSFW content.
- Must be over $20 USD in value for an individual item, or multiple items for a minimum of $35 USD.
- HOW DO I SUBMIT?: Please fill this form out with information requested regarding what you would like to display, along with the price(s) you would sell your work for. If approved, you will need to send the physical goods you are submitting to a provided address, along with a short blurb about the game.
- CAN YOU PRINT MY WORK FOR ME?: Unfortunately, we are unable to do so at this time. Catprint is a great resource for affordable printing if you do not have existing printed assets but this is primarily meant to re-use existing assets you may already have!
As mentioned earlier, these items will be for sale.
- WHAT'S THE PROFIT SPLIT?: 60% of the profit will go to you! The remaining 40% will cover Rowan's setup time, hardware (mounting brackets, etc) customer service, site setup, shipping supplies, so on. If your item is over $50, we will scale appropriately; we only want to cover time/setup and management of the event.
- CAN I SUBMIT MORE THAN ONE THING? Sure! Cupcake Royale only has so much space in the building, though, so our goal is to display one of each thing from each party. When items are purchased, I'll send that item out and rotate in the next piece.
- WHAT ELSE SHOULD I SEND?: We want to include a little blurb about the items (1-2 sentences) and its creators, your website, and anything else we can use to promote you! This will basically go on an index card sized piece of paper. I'll also need what price you'd like it to be sold at (dependent on printing cost, art, shipping, etc.) Customers will be charged shipping and shipping is not part of the profit split.
